Have read back through the first 18 pages of the forum (and learned alot).
I have primarily concentrated on making pinatas for years and plaster and candy, hmmm.
But I am now starting other projects and an even finish sounds totally ok. I have never used gesso, plaster, or spackeling (sparkel) in my projects. Plaster and titanium dioxide are no problem to get here (Norway) but today I saw a bag of thin premixed white spackle (called spray plaster but I am pretty sure it is not plaster based) that is made to be sprayed on walls.........and wondered if that was maybe a possiblilty.
Anyone have any experience with that?

I've only heard of it in passing, I've never seen it used or the results.
I am making the assumption that it is similar to 'spray' concrete, where it is pumped out of a compressor type of power unit. It is 'spray' only in comparison to the usual pouring or troweling method of application, and is still very thick, relative to other types of sprays.
I'm am reasonably certain that it isn't a 'spray' like what you might be thinking of, like a spray paint. It probably comes out more like from a pressure hose.
I might be wrong... maybe... I've been wrong once or twice... ;-)

HA! Let me tell you a very true little story...
I was in my late 20s and working in a veterinary clinic. It was lunchtime and everyone else was gone. I heard the bell ring up front and went to see who was there.
There was an older woman standing in the reception room. I knew that I knew her, but I couldn't think of who she was. I glanced at the appointment book to see if someone was scheduled to drop off a pet, but there was nothing.
She looked at me, and said, "You look like you don't recognize me."
As soon as I heard her voice, I knew it was my mother.

mmm, yeah, it is made for pressure systems, but it comes in a bag and when i move the bag around it feels as runny as water, actually. Seems the smartest thing is to just buy it and try.......
