Experimenting

Has anyone come up with anything that is  new and interesting that you would like to share?

Re: Experimenting

Hi Stevie.

I'd like to share one  of my experiments with Liquid Starch and fabric.  Fabric mache works nicely and varies in results from textile to textile.  Today, I experimented with organza fabric.

First, I completely saturated a small scrap of organza.  Then, I allowed it to dry on a plastic surface.  It dried well and still retained the color of the sheer fabric.  Finally, I cut it into wing shapes.  Experiment successful!

Anyone else?

Re: Experimenting

Never tried it, but I thought about it the other day while doing some laundry.

What about drier lint?  Could it make a good medium for a cloth/paper mache?

Re: Experimenting

Dryer lint is great to add as a filler for PM pulp.  It gives the pulp a smoother texture and retains the strength of the PM.
