This unusually large Olde World Santa is
painted in warm sherbet hues of blue, parchment
and soft iron red. The snowman on his robe is
inspired by a vintage postcard design. Santa's
satchel is brimming with hand-painted miniature
pine cones collected by my daughter and myself
on a hike in Marin County. Also in his satchel is
a vintage bottle brush tree, and in his hand a
goose feather sprig tree. Santa's base is
trimmed with a bright silver vintage tinsel garland
which I was fortunate enough to discover at the
Alameda Point Antique's Show.
