Hi Sarah: thanks for visiting my gallery and leaving comments! It looks like we have a lot in common in terms of our work. I like to play with moving between 2-d and 3-d, like Alice going through the looking glass. I think mirror is magic in that way.
I agree totally! I'v done several mirrors and love to play off the reflection 2D-3D transitions. I also love to paint. Papier-mache is so flexible. I think we like to keep testing the limits.

Excellent piece. The bird is great, particularly the folds in the wings, and I like the continents in raised relief on the heart.
