Hi Sarah. I delight in your range, and explorations of ideas, materials and techniques! My piece "Dream Pool" incorporated outer world/inner world using the reflection in a mirror. Are the 2-D roses in the mirror on the surface, or etched into the silvering on the back?
Thanks Scylla. The 2D roses are painted on. (I had noticed a blemish on the silvering of the mirror after I finished the papier-mache part and had to cover it up.) I used glass paint and acrylics to paint the roses and vines. I am interested in learning etching, however. I'll have to check out "Dream Pool".
