Edgar Allan 'Po

This is our paper mache hippo. We named him Edgar Allan Hippo, or Edgar Allan 'Po to his friends.

We intended him to look as if he had just burst through the wall to have a look around. The brickwork is supposed to show the area where the plaster fell off, but we really should have shown the bricks breaking around where his head popped through.

Terrific hippo, and a fun concept! He's a real cutie.
Just a few cracks painted on the bricks by his neck would give you the "burst-through" effect.

Hi Marina and Steve. Thank you for your lovely comments:)

Steve, I think I will paint some cracks on. I used fabric to create the bricks so they actually stand of the surface a little bit so I thought I should have left the gaps for the cracks, but I think painting them on will still make it look better.
