11 foot canoe.
a frame of wood strips bent around simple ribs cut from plywood, with a paper mache skin.
waterproofed with an epoxy coating.
the sun has bleached the paper to a nice yellow aged look. I am going to use a marine varnish to protect it from UV rays

yes it floats very well. I sat in it paddled it around. it works very well. I have taken it out lots. it is kind of small for a canoe so being the small voume it sits a little lower than I hoped. the epoxy water proofs it perfectly. being that paper mache is heavy I made it as thin as I could and I have punctured it a few times and it needs to be patched carfully with a enough epoxy to water proof it. once the coating gets punctured the paper washes away pritty quick.
