I'm Robert Hall, retired seafarer. I felt a need to express my outrage at the plight of the refugees in the Mediterranean, so I utilised what I had to hand, papers and card for recycling. My influences are Wallis, Craske, the iconography of the Ethiopian Coptic Church, the Fante flags of West Africa, marine votive art and Fr. Xavier Dijon.
I'm still raw, experimenting with pulps and glues and paper, and hope with time and practice to become more accomplished.
