Karen Sloan

Introduction

Karen Sloan was born in Toronto, but now resides in the Haliburton area of Ontario, just south of Algonquin Park.
She was a professional floral designer and horticulturalist for 15 years, but now paints on canvas and has recently discovered the joy of creating papier mache sculpture. Karen works full time as an artist at her studio/home.
Pop singer, Prince, owns one of Karen's paintings, and her work is in private collections all across Canada and the USA. Internationally her work is found in Scotland, England, Germany, Australia, Holland, Japan, Mexico, and South Africa.

* Certain artists have left their mark on Karen. A few such notables are, Picasso, Matisse, Mondrian, Norval Morisseau, the Group of Seven, and, of course, Dr. Seuss!
