I have a beautiful pm box 18" x 11" x 4.5", it is early victorian or late georgian. It is in need of some restoration. Is there anything that i can do or should i find a pro to do it?
Hello Brian, I think, you should ask a conservator for books and papers what you could do. Try it at a specialized museum, perhaps the National Trust.
If the damage is not too great, I´m shure, you can stabilisate parts yourself for example with wallpaper paste or other cellulose products.
To give a detailled information, you should describe your problem more precise.
