How I came up with the idea for this sculpture was when I put the skull halves back together there was a piece missing. It reminded me of when I lived in Fulda Germany when I was a kid, there is a famous church in the city center refered to as "The Dome" in it is buried a Saint named St. Boniface who when he went to convert the pagans they attack his party and he had a bible which he held over his head. A pagan stab him through the bible and into his skull. The church also has a museam where you can view the actual bible.
