Details

About 50cm high, this bird's body is shaped from crumpled up newspaper, which I first covered using strips. Next, the neck and legs (wire) and head (more crumpled newspaper) were attached. Then the whole thing was covered by a layer of pulp.
The bird is going to be painted in blues and greens but for now I am enjoying the white primer. Right now he looks gorgeous in the window against a background of freshly fallen snow in the garden.
